I recently realized that I’ve garnered something of a statuette collection over the years that I use as my bookends for my bookshelves.  From left to right: Beethoven bust Winged Victory at Samothrace Michalangelo’s David Chinese lion/dog (Ming Dynasty-style is my guess) Roman bust of someone, not sure who it’s supposed to be Chinese emperor statue, which I just stumbled upon on Etsy for $120 They were all gifts I randomly accumulated over the years, mostly from foreign countries.  I’d like to get my hands on a Venus de Milo, Rodin’s The Thinker and a The Motherland Calls.
